Chocolate Manufacturers Association (CMA), The CMA was organized in 1923. Its mission is to provide industry leadership to promote, protect, and enhance the chocolate industry’s interest through legislative and regulatory programs and communications.  The American Cocoa Research Institute is the scientific research arm of CMA.


Retail Confectioners International (RCI), RCI was founded in 1917 to represent the interest of confectionery manufacturing retailers and to promote public interest in these products.


World Cocoa Foundation, The World Cocoa Foundation is dedicated to improving the standard of living for cocoa farmers around the world by providing training on low cost methods to produce quality cocoa in a sustainable, environmentally friendly manner.


National Confectioners Association (NCA), Founded in 1884, the NCA represents the entire confection industry, offering education and leadership in manufacturing, technical research, public relations, retailing practices, government relations, and statistical analyses.


American Association of Candy Technologists (AACT),  AACT is a professional group of technologists, operations personnel, educators, students, business staff, and others dedicated to the advancement of the confectionery industry worldwide.

The Manufacturing Confectioner,, The Manufacturing Confectioner Publishing Company publishes trade magazines and directories in the confectionery and surfactant industries. It was founded in 1921 in Chicago, Illinois, and currently has offices in Glen Rock, New Jersey, and Princeton, Wisconsin.

Candy Industry,, is the leading information source for the global confectionery marketplace. International Cocoa Organization (ICCO),, is a global organization, composed of both cocoa producing and cocoa consuming countries with a membership. Located in London, ICCO was established in 1973 to put into effect the first International Cocoa Agreement which was negotiated in Geneva at a United Nations International Cocoa Conference. There have since been six Agreements. The Sixth International Cocoa Agreement was negotiated in Geneva in 2001 and came into force provisionally on 1 October 2003.
